What keeps me reading this is the Cabron crew—even though they lose one in this episode, and I know they lose one in the last of the series.

I wasn't going to read this one--though I don't know why I'd hope for the crew to catch a break in a military series...But I read the last chapter of the last book in the series and decided I could read most of the second one. I skipped the first few chapters. Can handle the rest, even though some favorites died along the way.
