Status Updates From The House That Whispers

I loved the end of this book. The author's take on the ghost was fascinating and not what I expected at all since I thought that I'd literally read about a ghost. I liked the focus on family relationships in this story.

I was right about the vibes between Talia and Inez. 😌

The end of that chapter was touching and sweet.

I'm relieved that Simon didn't get too angry at Rose. Rose wouldn't have deserved that.

I wonder how Simon and Rose's seance will go and if it'll work.

Simon apologizing for the mess that he made with his Choco Taco was a mood. I over-apologize a lot too. 😆

The mention of Choco Tacos made me feel nostalgic and brought back memories of eating them in Gunnison as a kid. 🥹❤️

Since Simon has changed his mind about the ghost's identity, I'm still curious about who the ghost could be. 🤔

Yep, I'm still convinced that Talia is either lesbian or bisexual. She got a little too snippity when Simon told her he thought that Brie might've gotten kicked out of the house because she was gay. That was an interesting thought on Simon's part.

I can't tell if Talia has a crush on Inez. She's blushed around her a couple of times. This is a book with LGBTQ+ themes so I can't help but wonder about vibes/a potential crush. 🤔

Simon's questions about Brie have made me curious about her as well.

Simon's logic about how Brie is the ghost still makes sense to me. Brie does seem to have unfinished business.

I'm glad that Simon felt closer to Talia in this chapter.

I wish that I had the energy to read more tonight. I should start reading earlier in the day. 😅

The eerie mood while Simon was thinking about his strained relationship with Talia was interesting. This book has started to focus more on family relationships since Brianna has been mentioned multiple times, and Simon is having a hard time with Talia growing up and pulling away.

I'm glad that Rose doesn't doubt Simon's concerns about a ghost being in Nanaleen's house.

The reference to GameBoys amused me and made me remember the GameBoys from when I was a kid. 😆

I wonder how ghost hunting will go for Simon and Rose later on in this chapter.

I feel bad for Simon who feels distant from Talia who wants to be more grown up and do her own thing. I can relate to wanting to feel close to my family. My family is everything to me.

I feel bad that Simon is dealing with doubt and skepticism from Talia regarding ghosts and his suspicion about the ghost in Nanaleen's house.

I'm glad that this book is picking up pace-wise and I'm still enjoying the eerie vibe.
