Thy sin is hereby aggravated beyond the sin of devils, who never sinned against a mediator in their own nature [Jesus], who never despised or refused b/c they were never offered terms of mercy as you are. Volume 1 includes a short bio of Flavel, an amazing man of God. The rest of vol. 1 is also published separately as “The Fountain of Life: A Display of Christ in His Essential and Mediatorial Glory” which includes 42 sermons on Christ. Talk about food for the soul! The Puritans in their highfalutin language (probably good English in their day) makes one slow down and digest what is being written.
