Just found out there are two Brad Wilcox's, and this is written by the UVA one, not the BYU one. I'm all for getting married, but this book has sooooo many stats, and I've taken too many stats classes to believe every number presented to me

Ch 4–you being married affects your kids more than your parenting/who you are as a person

Ch 3: marriage gives you a purpose so you don’t kill yourself

Tells us it’s not about race and then proceeds to say that white and Asian Americans are better at stable and happy marriages that Latino and black Americans

Already off to a terrible start when he’s talking about how marriage is going to fix our economic problems

Interesting stats. Being university-educated is the biggest determining factor in America currently between couples that get divorced or not. Even more than consistent church-attendees, by a long shot (22% getting divorced vs 33%). In fact, church ‘regulars’ are just as likely to be divorced in the current system as those who self-label politically as Liberal and Conservative (33% each respectively). Curious.
