Starting this book for the third time. Hopefully I actually stick with it.

We didn't build the idea of GOD, your majesty. That is written on every human heart.

Beauty is powerful. And anything that is truly beautiful must be holy, I
would think. But what if our senses are deceived? What if evil clothes itself
in beauty and we fail to see it for what it is? Perception is not separate from judgment, after all. The line between perceiving and hallucinating is blurry.

This is what you chose.
When the Son of Man returns, will he find faith on earth?

We gave you knowledge, knowledge of the infinite possibilities for good and evil. We gave you choice. Freedom. Before that, you were no better than the animals, no better than these creations of yours. But we knew the cost. We knew that the price of the gift was the loss of your innocence.
