Said to the sister who had to deal with her abusive her father was when she came out to him as a teenager. No. Hell no. You don't get to guilt her about leaving when you're not the queer one. When you are not the abused one. No excuses. No forgiveness. The Dad could have reached out to her to make it better and he didn't.

I think Riley is annoying af tbh and for being 1 year younger than lil and her brother very immature break time 😐

Now all the voices of Wanda and Riley are grating on me. I'm just mad at everything with this book. Ugh. My BS meter has exploded.

Sort wish I hadn't bothered with this one but too far into it to quit since it's not awful. I really don't like Riley. At all. For a few reasons. And the entire premise isn't believable. The whole thing is sort of ridiculous.

I borrowed this one from Hoopla without looking at the blurb - went solely on the author and wanting a not-too-long listen for housecleaning and cooking time. Had to go back and read the blurb because I'm not up for a The Cottage by Gerri Hill experience.
