not explaining what the girls are doing in between this complaining of passing time, like AGAIN are we just staring at the wall? you can still be non descriptive but be like ‘we went to the dorm, quietly doing our own things. time is getting away but there’s still so much i need to tell her’

SECOND time we finally get to a good part and the scene just ENDS. could have had a deep conversation between Mabel and Gramps about the end of his life and sickness but nooooo. how am i to get emotional if you cut to black mid conversation

starting to get a little confused on Mabel and Marin’s relationship dynamic. Mabel invites Marin to live with her family and literally said it would be like they’re sisters, but they’ve slept together in the past and are still friends and having sleepovers, but Mabel is the one that’s weird about sleeping in the same bed? especially if she has Jacob to think about? maybe i missed something

don’t love the conversation format here between on this page. at one point it’s Mabel and Ana going back and forth, so things like ‘Ana said’ isn’t needed *every* single time, but then Marin says something and the book doesn’t indicate it was her till 2 lines down Ana says “Me, too, Marin. Me, too.”
