everything about this plot is so disjointed i’m honestly crashing out and not in a good way omg

the writing attempts to be mysterious and yet ends up telling the reader nothing. the plot happens without any context to make it meaningful.

Omg the reason he listened to her is because she was holding the rib, it would have been like a stone, just a small piece. How have I not caught this in other re-reads? Maybe it’s that it’s an audiobook.
