For three and a half years, I worked at ESPN as a copy editor. Ryan McGee is my former colleague, and I’ve edited countless stories of his. This, of course, has to be my favorite. His humor, humbleness and openness as a writer is endearing, and to read about my favorite sport through his lens is a treat. The postgame chapter made me cry.
