I rage quit this book last night. Going back for the last 15-20 pages. I will say the middle, all the suspense hostage part, was really good, these two together? Not so much.

She’s trying to tell him how she feels, how condescending and hurtful he regularly towards her and instead of listening he decide a kiss, she does want, is the best corse of action.


I don’t think I can finish this book tonight, it has me raging.

This is not romantic. He’s a douche. He only wants to control her so things are the way he wants.

Why on earth does he think he has the right to decide if she gets an ultrasound or not?
They need to go back to being apart. They are not met for each other.

He’s mad because she told him in person she’s pregnant? Instead of overt the phone so he cold hide his reaction like a coward? Ugh!

I wish there was someone else for Becca, I don’t feel like Jake deserves her.
Also I would not call this book a romance, there hasn’t been a building story between the two MCs.

“Young millennial” is an odd way to describe someone. The youngest are pushing 30.

I don’t really believe his sudden change of heart. It more likely y the stress and not true feelings, when 6-7 hrs ago he basically laughed at her when she asked if he ever wanted more between them.

The mayor and councilwoman are idiots. I don’t know much about FBI command centers but I feel like these two would not be allowed in one.

Daniel is lack, he’s Grace’s brother do the last book, so that clears up h confusion about that in her book. That was very frustrating to not have the character written without fulling committing to the representation of poc.

Jake is kind of a walking red flag. Only 2 friends in his entire life? That’s sus. Can’t get along with his sister’s fiancé (Nash from the first book) either. Refuses to talk with Becca’s, his partner, relative while she’s being held hostage, even aside from the baby thing you’d think an agent would speak to the family of another agent. Also “his baby” never “their baby”.

Less than 20 pages i and i already don’t like Jake. He’s basically a self proclaimed asshole, doesn’t like his sister’s fiancé from the first book and apparently can’t have adult conversations about relationships.

Wow! The action started right away.
