I’ll try not to get too excited before I’m halfway through the book but oops- I love this.

Okay, a severed hand has been found, they track the blood: "The smears stopped right under a vent. Two team members went to either side while the rest knelt and fixed their weapons on the opening. At Yanis’s countdown they pried off the vent’s grate and flung their weapons inside."
... Clearly, there is an alien on the ship, and this reads as if it crawled into the vent and closed the grate after itself? What.

Yeah, let's keep the alien egg for 'historic' and 'scientific' reasons. I hope they all die.

Jacklyn is actually thick in the head, come on.

I feel like this is only labelled 'fast-paced' because it's just so incredibly non-descript. I have no sense of what this spaceship is like, not the atmosphere and definitely not the interior.
I'm doing my best to keep going, but I am being tested.

The book was amazing. So much was told here. I actually cried in the end.
