So far, just fantastic?
It’s weird to read a McCarthy book that takes place in a modern day setting, for some reason after reading blood meridian I had this impression he lived much longer ago.
The prose is, as usual, ridiculously good and I’m getting through it very quickly.
I did not expect so much talk about physics and mathematics, but it’s appreciated

Isaac Kim
is finished
"You can't be sure that another man's happiness resembles your own. But where the collective of pain is concerned there can be little doubt at all."
If Christ stooped to the nadir of Suffering he certainly knows us more than we know ourselves. If McCarthy would accept the "trite" Sunday School answer, it would fracture the whole nihilistic project with humbling clarity. That Truth is a Person only reached with love.
