Status Updates From Creatures of the In Between...

I swear if the grandmother is some sort of twist villain

i can already predict where this book is going

1. whisper islands gonna be empty of monsters
2. shishi is gonna end up being some sort of magic creature cuz that's how it works whenever anyone in fantasy books has a pet
3. this is more hope than prediction but I really hope jin's grandmother ends up ruling and jin can go chill with his dog or whatever

this better not be villainizing jin's grandmother becuase shes strict but shes actually right

jins a little brat like yes ur 12 but ur also the crown prince lock tf in and study agriculture or whatever u need to know more than dragons are cool to be emperor [i do hope he doesnt end up becoming emperor but yk]

Still not crazy about the story, it's not a bad story of book, I definitely feel like I need to reread it but I'm just not feeling the story so far, nothing against the book nothing against the writer I just think I chose a poor timing of reading this book and I should look to reread it another time as I'm also currently reading Harry Potter and my mind and heart is more focused on that than this book unfortunately

I'm on chapter 5 right now, not really feeling the story at this point, not saying it's a bad story as there are good qualities to it. I guess the shift from listening to Harry Potter to this story might be more my issue lol But I'm wondering how I feel at the end of the book as I'm still trying to get the feel of what the story is

so far its really good I'm planning on reading middle grade books until Amari and the despicable wonders comes out
