"Gender is a construct, tear it apart!" and all that... But even with the prevalence of drag and queer activism, gender remains very real and sensitive for people. It really doesn't matter if gender is constructed or if the binary of sex is a sham. Queer and trans people deserve to be treated as human whether you agree with their identity or not. We deserve equal rights and opportunities, no matter what anyone says.
