I am not even half way through this book, but i already learned so much as a new, confused entrepreneur. It is like she knew what we struggle with and wrote guidelines on everything we face, step-by-step. I have been searching a mentor for the last few months and this book is definitely it.

i’ve really enjoyed reading this so far. I currently wrapped up the Choose the date section. I’m at work at the moment and wanted to actually go through with choosing the date exercise at home, but I am anxiously inspired. I had tried to complete this book a couple of months ago but had only gotten a couple of pages in. I’m taking it seriously now and am excited and terrified to see how it goes.

Beyond the avatar and social media emphases (and definitely beyond the people pleasing bits) are some good insights. ‘Content precedes design. Design in the absence of content is not design, it’s decoration.’ - Jeffrey Zeldman

Finding the courage v confidence discussion intriguing. Why is courage a choice versus earned confidence? Not sure I’m seeing that confidence is only based on a small but growing litany of successes, I’d say it’s more of a value assessment and the knowledge that no one can shake your tree.
