I’ve been waiting to post that I’m reading this one because I’m afraid I’ll DNF and look like a fraud. It’s just a very dense and difficult read

This book is probably the most demanding prose-read ever. Proust is the Hegel of Literature. I am not sure I can get down with these endless descriptions of flora and fauna, places and people - I cant imagine any of it. So I guess my imagination, or lack there of, is part of the problem. Nonetheless I am planning to read it all the way through until the end of August. I think I should be able to...Inshallah.
