a decent read! the writing is very old-white-man vibes, it kind of reads like an extended dominion post article - rambling, winding around, repetitive, a lot of personal story thrown in there and the general history stuff is not told with much detail or oomph. still, a compelling encouragement to be unashamedly and humbly pākehā, one that an old white man would probably more readily take on
