Status Updates From Martha Stewart's Gardening:...

Just finished October with Martha. She plants 1000s of spring-flowering bulbs, gilds pumpkins, cuts back perennials, harvests late-season greens, and much, much more. In her day, she must have had ten times more energy than I!

Martha talks about getting up at sunrise to work in her garden, weeding, planting, etc. and sometimes not coming in until dusk, even taking her meals out in the garden. She was much younger when this book was published, but I'm not sure I ever had that much energy. I love seeing flowers and eating fresh vegetables, but I only wish I enjoyed the work of gardening as much as she did!

Too perfect, from a young age, Martha was. Wish I had half her energy!
