She complains about society and the media giving unrealistic expectations about women’s bodies, but goes on to tell us that before cancer, she only weighed herself *once* a day but with taking tamoxifen now was doing so twice a day… this will not be going on my recommend-to-fellow-cancer-patients list.

80% in one day….so addictive…funny…candid….heartbreaking…life affirming. The last book I read that made me feel such affinity with other women was Maggie O’Farrell’s I Am, I Am, I Am.
