Chapter 2: “She used a metaphor from economics. I reached the point of giving up by asking: what is the right of return on this? Sometimes you have to do an ROI (return of investments) in relationships.“

Seems I can't stop listening to this. I have so many notes. I'm logged into Goodreads on my laptop so that when I eventually finish (later today or tomorrow), I can actually type out my full review. But as someone currently dealing with an estranged sibling, this book is so validating. And also challenging. More later in the full review.

Wow I’m barely a quarter of the way into this book and I feel like the author knows things about my life. I’m taking notes. I’m interrupting Pat to read them out loud and be shocked about how relevant it is. I will be recommending this is specific people but I’ll hold off on making that final until I’m actually done with the book.
