With that said, the story was a bit underwhelming to me. Maybe I went into it with very high expectations but it was alright. So, overall I’d give it a 3.5/5 stars.

I liked this! The art was sublime. Thomas Ott’a use of scratchboard/scraperboard is truly marvelous. His strokes (or rather, scratches) are decisive and purposeful, it’s a great feat to tell a story with such a medium. The author/artist’s choice to have the story told only in illustration (i.e. silent comic/graphic novel) is a good one. I can’t imagine any font that would work well with the scratchboard art.
