Ok so I was super hyped by the initial world building and the excitement of getting off the first planet. The middle of the book was good but mostly combat and action rather than the deep lore I craved. It’s back though. By the end of the book you get a whole new perspective of the world and i’m once again enraptured by the politics and inter workings of the magical world.

Love this! Finally found something to follow up Dungeon Crawler Carl! This might be just as good? Sci-fi fantasy combo done beautifully. Multi-planetary empires, dope gear synergies and magic systems, AIs, immortality. It’s awesome. 25 main “ascension levels”. I’m reading a version containing books 1-3.5 and already 12% through that!
