Status Updates From Zone 1

I certainly hope something of consequence happens in the last act of this book, because beyond the brilliant prose, I feel like with a brief introduction to the characters, I could start at this point of the book and not have missed anything important beyond world building.

Zombie apocalypse written with literary flair and vocab so big that I frequently don’t know what words mean.
Slow slog of a tale though…
