I was hesitant to start this because i truly disliked the first book I read by this author (the 4th in this same series). However, despite boners popping willy nilly at the very first interaction which is something i despise in romance novels, I am enjoying these characters way more than I did in the other book. So I'll truck on and keep my fingers crossed that I end up not rolling my eyes every 2 seconds.

// WOOHOO!! Adam, you are a wonderful magnificent incredible spectacular man, and I knew you would make the right decision! You are so incredibly generous and kind and selfless and giving and considerate and loyal and wonderful, and who fucking cares if you had a bratty moment, because you are recognizing the truth in your heart and I adore that you want to put things incredibly right, as I knew you would!!

// This author is destroying the book for me by making Adam a spoiled brat in this particular moment!! Septimus has the patience of a saint! How dare Adam insist that he has to have Septimus right next to him in order to make his dreams come true but doesn’t even consider supporting Septimus and pushing him or accompanying him in achieving his dreams!! Adam better fucking come to his senses quickly!!

// I know that you don’t mean to sound or be negative in any capacity whatsoever and that you 100% support Septimus’s dreams, and you were just absolutely terrified of losing him! But you absolutely have to support Septimus in conquering and living his dreams and being happy, regardless of how much it hurts you!! Think of Septimus and only of Septimus in this regard!

// In continuation to the previous update, Adam, you are fucking magnificent and you are a wonderful wonderful wonderful man, and I absolutely know that your moment of selfishness is not about being selfish at all or in any capacity whatsoever, but is about your absolute terror of losing Septimus!! Having said that, you absolutely have to support Septimus in his dreams and push him to conquer and capture them!!

You want him to stay with you because you love him and you want him to share in your dream, but you’re unwilling to go with him and put a pause on your dream in order to accomplish and invest in his dream, and yet you want him to pause and forget about his dream in order to help you to accomplish your dreams!!

I am really fucking angry right now!! I get why Adam doesn’t wanna be a part from Septimus however this is exactly why Septimus didn’t want to enter into a relationship, BC ironically enough, in your love for him, you become one more nobleman who is keeping Septimus from his dreams! As somebody who passionately loves his man, you absolutely have to support him in his dreams instead of keeping him away from them!!
