Status Updates From A History of the English Ch...

I have found Bede's concise but spiritually rich recollections of Britain's past monks, bishops, abbots and holy men, the way they conducted themselves and gave their lives to God, to be most edifying and inspiring.

This has been such an enlightening read. It becomes rather clear that the age in which we find ourselves is far more appropriately deemed "the dark ages" than those of Bede's time, when kings and nations were bending the knee to Christ and peoples were being converted by monks and bishops traveling far and wide. The story of the Aidan of Lindisfarne was really neat.
