So far it's great. Stories are inspired by Jp and Chinese fairytales, written in pretty, lyrical prose.

Ooh, I just love a story of revenge from the grave after being terribly wronged. Kukuku.

I don't know about this one. Lots of set up but I don't think the pay off was there. I did enjoy that this featured a f x f romance.

Oh, this was neat. I like how everything comes full circle.

I must ashamedly say that I don't really know of any Korean folk tales so reading this retelling was rather interesting. Reminds me of The Little Mermaid just a little bit.

This is the shortest story yet and, sadly, one I liked the least so far. Tsuru no Ongaeshi is one of my favorite Japanese folk tales. I don't think there was enough thought or depth to it and the names of the characters was far too literal. Binbou and Karasu? Binbou means poor person and Karasu means crow. Takes all the whimsy and magic out of it.

This reminded me of Inuyasha with a sprinkle of a Yuki-Onna retelling. Pretty fun. =D.

Ooh this is neat. A story of what happens after the original tale of Yuki-Onna.

This one was missing the more whimsical feeling the previous two stories had, mostly because it's based on real historical events with added touches of magic. It didn't work for me.

This was a cute and straight forward fairy tale (folk tale?). I like the little notes from the author at the end about instances from her life that inspired the story.

I haven't read many stories where Buddhism is referenced so directly but it's necessary. This isn't a tale I've heard of before but I quite enjoyed this retelling.
