So far I’m really glad I’m giving this book another shot. My first read was mostly through the audiobook and I felt it was incredibly dull. This was also with the recency bias of watching the first season of the show at the time. Now that I’m actually ready to give the book another chance I find I like it a lot more, plus I’m actually reading this time. Some books don’t translate to audio very well

A few things to note that I haven’t seen in any of the reviews that I've read. 1) Is Kovacs' sexual assault going to be treated as such or is the overt sexism in this story going to assume women are incapable of sexually assaulting men? 2) All the Americans talk like Brits and it lowkey pisses me off. 3) Using words like 'mohican' and 'Mongol' for character descriptions seems vaguely racist.
