Status Updates From The Last Tale of the Flower...

Started this on audio book and hard pass, waiting until I get home to read the hard copy on my shelf!

I have no words to describe this book. Amazing. Beyond that it’s just… Toxic. Toxic is the only word I can use to describe this. The Otherworld, Indigo, and even Azure in the end. I feel bad for our nameless protagonist. He had a brother, who died cuz the parents were abusive neglectful assholes. But the ending, that I did not expect. Not happy, but… not hopeless. Definitely reading more by this author.

What kind of fucking nickname is Catskins? And well there’s our confirmation, Azure is dead. Straight from the horses mouth. This Indigo is a psycho fucking bitch

Yeah Azure is definitely dead. I could be wrong but my gut tells me she is gone. And our bridegroom is next.

Poor Azure. This is abuse and manipulation of the highest order. Im sure in the present, she is dead. Indigo isnt the sort to let anyone go.

Id say Indigo is evil but… she’s just a fae. Life is a game to them. Especially the lives of others. And she is practically a fae, in her attitude and beliefs

If I could use one word to describe Indigo so far, it is toxicity. She’s alluring in a toxic sort of way, and I’m not sure if it’s her own doing or the House of Dreams. Nonetheless, fascinating to read

The (Im assuming) parallel storylines are intriguing. Im partial to Azure because she has a name, mister nameless is just the bridegroom.

Ew Jupiter is gross. I wonder if Azure is really in the Otherworld or just dead

The atmosphere in this book is DRIPPING my god, the prose. It’s like a vivid surreal painting.

There is something dark and twisted and wrong with the relationship between Indigo and our nameless protagonist. I love it.

An intriguing start. Our narrator had a brother… or maybe he didn’t. I don’t know. It’s not clear yet but it’s definitely playing into Indigo’s ‘reality is what you make of it’ line.

Based off the description alone, I am excited
