Getting to the main action, getting sexy, getting to the first white lie which is actually a hella big lie!

This guy is so obviously not Steve and it's fun reading all the excuses all the characters i.e. Linda Howard gives to make him Steve...but if he is Steve I'm going to be highly disappointed because bro sounds like a man-child tool

I’m conflicted on how I feel about this book

I'm finding this book pretty slow and somewhat monotonous. Jay the heroine is definitely loyal person. However, she falls in love with the patient who, it turns out, she is pretty sure is not Steve her ex-husband but a stranger. She keeps up the lie as she is afraid if he finds out who he really is, he'll leave her. I wish she'd have some guts, be honest and work with him to figure out what is going on.

He has broken legs, his eyes are still bandaged so she can't really tell if it is her ex or not. However she agrees to keep sitting with him as the FBI wants him to regain his memory to find out what happened to him. When he gets tubes removed and can talk, he is aggressive and not at all like the man she knew.

FINALLY this gets interesting LOL. "Steve" or whomever the coma guy is has finally woken up and has made a strong attachment to Jay. She feels it but really not sure why as when they were married he was fun but the guy in the bed is serious, driven and determined.

I will hang in a bit longer but so far not enjoying this one much. I usually like this author but this one seems a bit darker, more confusing and is all one sided as the male character has been in a coma.

She agrees with the FBI agent that she will stay there and take care of him till he comes out of his coma. When he does it's obvious that he's got amnesia. He can't remember her, his own name or anything about how he was injured.

I am sorry to say that so far I am finding this kind of boring. The heroine is called in by the FBI to identify her ex-husband who has been severely injured and is in a naval hospital. Trouble is he's bandaged from head to foot so she really can't tell if it's her ex or not as she hasn't seen him in 5 years. She does feel some sort of sympathy, empathy or weird connection to the man in the hospital bed.
