Status Updates From Temple Hill (The Cities, #2)

I really, really hate the trope of a person who hires a bodyguard (specially when its after an assassination attempt) and they then fight the guard all the way because of "privacy" or "creepiness". Like why do the authors do this? To make drama? It just makes, like here, the person looks so stupid because they HIRED THE PERSON to protect them. It's their damn job and you are making it so much easier to die.

So far, it has not been terrible. yeah, kind of annoying that they can't pass a single page without saying how utterly hot she is and it has some problems in dialogue, but compared to other books it is really working.
