I can't with this book. Th writer has set up the hero to be a baddtt guy. He's supposed to be so bad we're holding our breath when he steps on the scene. Only for this dude to emerge and it's just so ordinary, lol. The only thing he's doing is to pierce the heroine’s body from time to time. When he talks (very sparingly) he has zero charisma. Wot. I wanted to read a good book with an antihero and then I got this, smh

I admire how this author makes love from a fae seem like someone's worst nightmare. She doesn't romanticize it at all.

“Will I regret this?” I wonder aloud, my voice a hushed breath. He unhooks the last button, leaving my shirt open down the middle. “I will.”

...I don't mean this as a criticism, I like how the author went there with the heroine - she doesn't even try to heal, she's going so far as bargaining for a moment with a knife to cut. I just see this being a huge trigger for some.
