Not getting the best first impression of the book, due to the style. The beginning of the book focuses mostly on how the book came about. I find the style a little basic and lacking authenticity or connection, and a little disparaging. Disappointed there’s not more information about how attachment theory was discovered by Bowlby. However still interested in finding out more and hopeful for personal insight.

So excited to start this book. A guy on hinge actually recommended it after I made the bold decision to ask “what’s your attachment style?” right off the bat, and date very intentionally. After going through some horrible situations with avoidant partners, and struggling with my own attachment profile I look forward to having better insight and hopefully tools going forward. Let’s see!
