Not a single mention of narcissism makes this book feel even more credible and impactful. That term is overused and missed naming all the forms and tactics of abuse. This books is explaining everything so clearly.

I love how this book is matter-of-fact. I don't even have the words to describe it, really. It's just so validating and not with this "hate the abuser" energy that so often comes with these types of texts. It's not vilifying. It's stating exactly how things go, how each abusive relationship differs, how healing is individual, but that the impacts are the same.

This might be one of the most beautiful voices that has written about on this topic. I do not know anything about Emma Rose Byham outside if what I have read so far in her book, but she radiates wisdom and compassion. I just feel like she is sitting here next to me with a spirit of understanding and love.
