Part 5 - Oh. Gareth. I had left quite a gap between parts 4 & 5, so I thought it might be hard to jump back in, but of course, it's so easy to read. The writing's so easy to consume that it's hard to believe such weight can be conveyed. The quiet, relentless inevitability of the war and Gareth's departure are like a dark cloud over what should be such a joyful start to their marriage, it's so devastating.
