The book explores illusionism, a theory in the Philosophy of Mind, which is the idea that our natural understanding of what consciousness is is deeply misguided as it relies on concepts that, although intuitive, are wrong. Such intuitive notions give rise to the hard problem of consciosuness and must be thrown out, effectively dissolving the hard problem.
