really not loving this book :/
don’t wanna dnf so i’m gonna keep pushing through, but this book so different than what i was expecting based on the synopsis.
it truly isn’t scary at all, and isn’t grasping my attention. it definitely feels more ya than adult.
the autism rep sounded exciting, but as an autistic person it feels very surface level and underdeveloped.

Finally more mentions of the books namesake! It feels like we should be there already or something, but once again the characters avoid this place for the sake of finding more information about it.
It’s getting good, but I thought this would be the location that more of the book would be set in, not just talked around and around in circles.

It only makes sense that hell would be cold. Most people perceive the cold as manageable. Whenever I hear someone remark that they prefer to winter to summer, they talk about warming up with drinks and putting on heavy clothing. That manageable nature is what makes it so insidious. It is creeping and lazy. It lures you in with its placidity, Before you know it, there is nothing left but ice and slumber.
