This was a heavy book but well worth the read! The coal mining communities in West Virginia in the early 1900’s are not for the faint of heart.

I listened to this book. It hard to pay attention when the narrator mispronounces colloquial words. That said, I loved the story and its setting. If you’re from (or familiar with) West Virginia you may enjoy the book too!
