I think I might like the epic of Gilgamesh (and Mesopotamian myth in general) too much to read this…. But I also refuse to DNF a book.

It's not an easy read, but the story is interesting enough for me to put in the effort. The sex stuff is crazy funny.

I can tell I would appreciate this more if I was familiar with the story of Gilgamesh and had more familiarity with the characters. Emily Wilson knows her Greek mythology like it's her first language, and she seems to assume her readers do, too. I am going to read Gilgamesh before going on to the rest of this series.
