in the wish to end hunger men may sacrifice liberty in pursuit of ending their hunger. no better example has been sent in England as after the overthrowing of king Charles by Cromwell people turned their backs on the newfound potential for freedom from the monarchy in a desire for the easier lives they had lived under the monarchy.

The king of England Richard was kidnapped which made parliment attempt to pay his ransom by taking the gold of the monastery of Reading which was stopped by the abbot of the monastery who opened up the monastery but told the parliament that they would have to fight for the gold in the monastery which made them rethink their position and if it was worth it to take from the monastery.
