Status Updates From Paranoja

I figured out what was irritating me about this book. It's not the book itself so much, it's the person reading/narrating it and a couple of the voices she's using for some of the female characters, namely the daughter and schoolmates of the mother. It's grating and annoying enough to actually take away from the plot and overall enjoyment of those scenes.
The writing is fine and the plot is good.

Okay, you have my interest. Seems that Rachael and Luke have (or once had) a good amount of friends; Rachael, Lila, Violet, and possibly others. But who could possibly have it out for either of them?

I guess I'm getting salty in my old age, but this book seems like it has extra romance and unnecessary stuff in it.
I'm like, "Get on with the murders and suspense already!" Lol
