It’s so frustrating how dense some of these characters are. Cam meets the younger Isaac despite his older self dying in the previous book and is still confused by the fact that years have by since their disappearance. There is obviously time travel going on and she still can’t wrap her mind around it. Sienna is painfully dumb too; these characters are supposed to be scientists but sure don’t act like it

i don't think i've enjoyed a book where i have no fucking clue what's happening since harrow the ninth. not a bad comparison either, since like HTN, the different plot threads are taking place asynchronously (or possibly in different dimensions/realities in this case).
