Part of me feels I avoided this book as long as I did because it would be too upsetting. And look at me, 2.5 hours in and I gotta take a break. Because how can a man who literally came from nothing, had nowhere to go, come to live with you and your family and isolate you as such? To even have strength to look down on the people who house you inhabiting. Imma need strength. 💆🏿‍♀️
