Sissy" is a pejorative term for a boy or man perceived as effeminate, weak, or lacking traditional masculine traits.
I know Mr. Wright, but I wish he hadn’t used this word so much in this book. It is negative towards all the strong young girls I know. Otherwise, this book is weird and funny.

This book has no plot. The narrator is supposedly seven years old. None of that matters. Harold is extensively an avatar for Steven Wright to express the whirling ideas within his head. Harold describes his thinking as birds flying around in his head and that these musings escape through a window and have to be expressed. Those familiar with his comedy will find much to love. If not, readers might find it baffling.
