I stand back and look at my whole fucking world right before me.

I reach out and touch her cheek, tilting her head back so I can kiss her. She looks back at me with pure love...

I lost her once and I will be damned if it happens again.

He has a gun pointed at me through the glass. Everyone in the office takes cover, his eyes are glued to the phone on my ear. He points the gun at me again and he mouths, “I am coming for you.”

I’m almost afraid to fucking touch you.”
My eyes widen at his admission, “Why?” I whisper shocked.
He growls, he pulls me to him and rests his forehead against mine. “Because you’re a fucking angel and I’m a sinner.”

He leans forward until our foreheads are touching. I take in the moment. It's simple but literally life-changing.
My life will never be the same after this.
He smiles and he brushes his hand across my cheeks, pushing my hair out of my face. “You’re so beautiful, darlin'.”

He smiles at me and then at Annie, “I am Knight, the club doctor.” He lifts his hand for me to shake. His hand is warm, causing butterflies in my stomach. “Daniella.”
The smile reaches his eyes and I can feel River staring at me. It takes everything in me to turn away from him and look at her. The smile on her face lets me know that I am as obvious as I thought I was.
“I’m Annie,” my baby announces to everyone.

I don’t know anything about River's aunt beside the fact that she is coming here to hide from an ex husband she was forced to marry from the cult.
It f--king blows my mind. I have seen the affects of that life on women, including River.

I stare at the wall, fear sending shivers down my spine. I want to forget that part of my life but I need to protect her above all else.
