I liked Peony until she started being a mean girl. It's not a good look.

if i praise the action scenes
i need to do the opposite for everything else

more than a few times lack of editing and just shit writing was evident and abound

i hope the rest of the series are better ..
but i doubt it

this ending was also meh
i skipped over it entirely

i think i rated this three stars initially
and i’ll keep that bc of the good i mentioned

another good scene i forgot until now was the fmc and the boy, again
this time abducted and then escaping

i prob need to make a note of this if i ever reread this book
to skip everything but this handful of scenes

and
the story telling to the crowd afterwards could’ve been better
i wouldnt have minded a recap of her heroics

it was written okay but repetitive in a boring way

^so only those two scenes i mentioned
so far

that are the sole reason i’ll be adding this book to my heroines list
if it’s not already on there

i do have to clarify that just bc it’s on that list/shelf/tag
doesnt mean the entire book and the fmc as a whole is the best heroine

i need to be specific about those scenes of hers bc i don’t like her otherwise at all
