this book contains a ton of basic information about how the human body operates, which nutritional substances maintain which organs and which functions of the immune system etc, with chapters on how to eat a diet that helps during specific diseases... don't understand all of this 100% but I get the impression much of this is meant as a reference work

quite a few of the information in here confirms suspicions I have already had (e. g. that eating lots of lentils is good + I fry way too much of the food I eat + only eat brown rice) but more stuff in here surprises me (e. g. don't eat until you have fully awakened + some types of vegan milk substitutes are healthier than others + nuts and seeds are absolutely essential to a healthy diet)

currently re-arranging my daily lifestyle to become healthier as much as possible, and I picked this up at one of those free book exchange cabinets in parks... very excited to burn through this
