FINALLY! I can finish the book. Oh, the breath of relief...

Lol I want to give up on this the nanosecond I read "swollen appendage." But the plot is too thick. I wish I hadn't read that particular phrase *gag*

I've waited a MONTH for this?!

An update after an aeon — I love the plot. The characters are fine. But I kind of dislike the stretchy inner monologues. They're becoming too much. The pace is slower than necessary, & the chemistry between the MCs is slow and feels like it progressed to "love yous" before it had even developed.
But then again, I can't make time to read this fine book, so it's been more than 2 weeks, and I've lost interest.

I think I'm the slow paced 🐌 here, not the book
