Status Updates From L'Impératrice

“Now came a greater test: the fight to keep them all out of an unnecessary war.” “If only more people could see it like that. And, for the first time, she wondered if it might be a good thing that she wasn’t going to marry the emperor.” Damm right girl.

“The women at court fell into a few well-defined categories. He’d never realized that maybe they had to.” Yeah because you are a man and you never had to.

“Knowing each other in every way that word could mean.” My babies…

“But in another, it wasn’t. They’d had so little time and yet he did know her. Knew her in a way that didn’t seem possible.” True love, right there.

“Franz returned the smile, the corner of his mouth twitching in a way that was starting to feel familiar, like a secret shared between them, the kind of secret she’d always wanted to have.” Omg they are cute.

“How could anyone fall in love like this?”
It’s easy, Mother” someone has a crush

“Franz’s eyes caught Elisabeth’s across the terrace. He wondered if he would ever be alone with her again. Wondered if he might get one more moment, one more laugh, with her before that door locked forever.” Oh he is down bad.

Sisi needs to realise some stuff about herself.

Helena honey, u cannot expect someone to love you if u can’t love yourself first

Franz starts to grow free will, mummy will not be happy. The romance is cute, star-crossed lovers or soulmates kind of love.

“Elisabeth hoped that Néné still existed somewhere inside. That she had only been driven into hiding by their mother. A fate Elisabeth would never allow for herself.” How many women were forced to forget their true self for a man or the good of their family.

“Before she could apologize, Franz asked, “How is the bird?”
Elisabeth smiled, then immediately lowered her eyes and let her smile drop.” They have inside jokes, it’s cute.

“Sisi loved it. Loved every new adventure, every new person. And the people she met always loved her in return. She never had to work for their love, never had to worry that someone might not love her.” The sister was really that insecure? I hope not. Also sisi was so full of life, knowing her story, it makes me sad.

Why did everyone else insist on wearing shoes when it was so much more fun to feel the earth, all soft grass and silky dirt, against your bare skin?
