Notes:
(1) Why does this book end on the first issue of a story arc? I tell you, they try to make it as difficult as possible to follow along with the series.
- I'm just glad these are already out and I'm not waiting for the next volume to be released to finish the story.
(2) The last half of this is just really blah. Stuff happens but nothing's done to make it interesting.

Notes:
(1) A surprisingly strong first issue, considering how bad the series has been lately.
- It's all about suicide, and Spawn talking someone off the ledge. Totally surreal for me since I read this issue on the very day cartoonist Ed Piskor killed himself.
(2) The next two issues were back to the series' usual subpar drudgery.
- Back to wordiness and indecipherable art.

Notes:
(1) I have a bit of a "chicken or the egg" situation. Am I so slow in reading "Spawn" because of my current reading slump? or is "Spawn" causing my reading slump? It's definitely not helping.
- Both are certainly at play, but which came first?
(2) This starts with part five of an arc. I wish these weren't so rigidly six issues each so they could collect full stories.
