Slowly working my way through this book. So good and so challenging.

Woah I’m only two chapters in and this book is already blowing my mind. It explains the secular and Christian culturally beliefs around singleness and why and how we got there. I feel like I’m already being challenged in some of my thoughts around the meaning and value of marriage and singleness.

Wow. So many well-intentioned but only partial truths about singleness, marriage, and the purposes of both that have crept into the church, leading to unnecessary isolation and unfair expectations. Good balanced counters in historical, theological, and exegetical evaluation. NOT fluffy - yay! So far, I truly think that everyone would benefit from reading, married and single.

Well researched. A bit overwritten. I think she did Tim Keller dirty, but I'm heavily biased. Overall, really good so far.
